Yoga has been a big part of my life for a very long time. The first class I ever did left me floored – it was love at first pose. This love has grown into a true passion, in fact, it would be fair to say I’m a little obsessed with all things yoga. For me the combination of challenging the body and quieting the mind brings a whole new level of fulfillment to exercise. I have no doubt that this makes me a healthier, happier person.
Twenty years of a committed yoga practice and over a decade working as a massage therapist has naturally led me down the path to teaching yoga. My teaching style is accessible with a solid focus on structural alignment, flow and fun. I’m completely serious about my yoga but when I teach I like to keep things light so the atmosphere is one of fun whilst still honoring the depth of the practice.
I’m honored to be part of the Whole Health Crew, the message each of the Crew delivers around health, fitness and taking responsibility for our own wellness is in complete alignment with my own attitude to life.
I have a strong belief that movement is medicine and I’m committed to educating, inspiring and empowering people to take their health and wellbeing into their own hands so they can live life to their fullest potential.
My home is in North Canterbury in the South Island of New Zealand, where I live with my husband, our two children, one dog, one cat and ten chickens! It’s a jam packed life full of family, friends, yoga teaching, yoga doing, growing our own food and running our businesses.
Yoga brings a huge amount of awesomeness into my life. I’m excited to share what I continue to learn and hope to encourage you to include a little yoga in your everyday life.
